Hey friends—Kris here with a quick word. I wanted to pause for a moment to share a little gratitude and a big congratulations.
First, gratitude. Our team recently launched the latest update to the Through the Word app, and we’re incredibly thankful for the amazing team who worked so hard to make it happen. And thank you to all of you who have taken the time to send feedback. We truly value hearing what you like, what’s helping you grow, and anything you need help with. If you ever want to share a thought or ask a question, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Now for the congratulations.
It’s a big week for one of my best friends—and a good friend to many of you—Peyton Jones.
You probably know Peyton from Through the Word, but long before he joined our team, he spent decades training leaders on the front lines of mission and ministry. For more than 20 years he’s been helping people plant churches and make disciples through the training collective he founded called NewBreed.
And on March 17, Peyton’s newest book launches:
Discipology: The Art and Science of Making Disciples.
As you know, Through the Word is free—no ads, no upsells—so I’m not sharing this to sell books. We’re simply excited for our friend and for the mission behind the message.
Because Jesus gave us a very clear command: Go and make disciples.
And yet, if we’re honest, many believers don’t really know how.
That’s exactly why Peyton wrote Discipology. The book is designed to help ministry leaders understand the principles and practices of disciple-making in a clear, practical way. Alongside it, he also created a companion journal—The Journey: A Disciple-Making Discipology Journal—which is geared toward everyday believers and students who want to put those ideas into practice.
Peyton and I are both big dreamers, and the dream we share is simple but bold: a disciple-making movement. Through the Word is part of that vision—helping people know God’s Word so they can live it and pass it on.
You’ll be hearing more about that vision down the road.
But for now, if you’d like to help us celebrate Peyton this week, we’d love to pass along your congratulations. Just use our contact form and send him a note—we’ll make sure he sees it.
