A Message from TTW Founder, Kris Langham:
Hello Through the Word family! This month marks 15 years of Through the Word. Way back in June 2011, Through the Word officially became a nonprofit and took its first baby steps from a big idea—to reach the whole world with God’s Word—into a real ministry.
I remember it well. Back then, two big questions loomed in my mind: How on earth are we going to do all this? And how do we give it all away for free?
Well, fifteen years later, God has been so faithful. By His grace, we’re still completely free—no ads, no paywalls, and no giving guilt trips.
Every chapter listened to, every guide followed, and every life impacted has been made possible by listeners who chose to pay it forward. Honestly, it still amazes me that it worked—but it’s God, so why am I surprised?
So during this anniversary month, thank you. On behalf of our entire team, and on behalf of the millions of people who have already and in the future will build Bible habits through this ministry, thank you to everyone who has made these 15 years possible.
Now, I told you there are no giving guilt trips. The idea of “pay it forward” comes from one of our founding passages, 2 Corinthians 9. If you choose to give, you’re not paying anything back. Everything you’ve received from Through the Word was already provided as a gift by someone who got here first.
But if you’d like to give, know that you’re giving that same gift to someone who hasn’t even heard about us yet. Everything Through the Word has meant to you can become a gift to someone else who really needs a Word from God.
And if you’re brand new here, don’t worry about it. Enjoy the gift first.
