Hey there, amazing New Testament in a Year participants! Can you believe we’re already halfway through the year? If you’re on track, soon you’ll be in the newly refreshed Luke plan with Kris and the brand-new plan through the book of Acts with Peyton. So stay tuned! And even though it’s only June, we know some of you out there like to plan ahead. That’s why we have some exciting options for what comes next on your journey. Plus, we want to take a moment to celebrate your progress and give you a new printable calendar to keep you on track. Let’s dive in and keep the momentum going!

Okay, planner enthusiasts, we know you like to have options. So if you’re already thinking about what you’ll do next year, here’s what we’ve got for you after you complete the NT1Y plan.

  1. Repeat with a Friend: Everything’s better with a friend, right? Invite someone to join you on this epic journey. Share your thoughts, spark discussions, and encourage each other along the way.
  2. Start the 19 Journeys: Ready for a fresh adventure? Then 19 Journeys is calling your name. Explore curated study paths that dive into specific themes, books, and topics in the Bible. It’s like having your own personal tour guide through Scripture. Plus, you’ll journey through the whole Bible (the Old Testament once and New Testament twice!).
  3. Choose Your Own Adventure: We believe in freedom and flexibility. Plot your own daily Bible habit experience by selecting the books or topics you want to dive into. Follow your curiosity, dig deeper into the areas that fascinate you, and let your study be as unique as you are.

  3. God led me to this wonderful app through a plan that was posted on the U Version app concerning married couples and how to strengthen their bond. I enjoyed their teaching so much. The Spirit then led me to download TTW and it has been the most amazing blessing. I start every day with this app. I praise God for the teachers and the way they present the Bible and it’s truths. Thank you so very much for this work and I pray that God blesses you as much as He does me through this app.

  5. Hi from Australia! I’m so glad I found TTW! I listen/read it EVERYDAY. I don’t start my day without reading TTW and the Bible app.
    I just could listen to Kris all day! He makes the Bible easier to understand and I love his sense of humour that he adds into the chapters. I am a born again Christian since March 2023 and love God with all my heart. Thank you Kris for TTW. It is a blessing to my day to listen to you as I find myself getting closer to God each day.   6. I have been using TTW for several years. I first started the journeys. But then my church started reading the Bible together two years ago. But I missed TTW. I started listening to the chapter/s and then Bible reading. Then I read the Bible chapter myself or follow along when it is read to me. Then I do the “Ezra Project,” homework. I spend more time in his word. Thank you TTW pastors, and all who help behind the scene, for the best program I have tried. I can’t wait till the next day to get in the word. I can’t tell you how grateful I am that you have made Exodus so Interesting. The reading by its self was boring and didn’t make much sense. you changed my mind about that last statement. I have actually enjoyed it this time.

    I’m lifted up spiritually by listening to the audio guides and Bible reading.
    I have marked a lot of verses in my Bible already that have become outstanding to me thru these audio guides.

  8. I am loving the NT1Y. plan. I am doing it through Youversion with a group of friends. I am truly looking forward to starting Luke tomorrow. TTW has been such a blessing in my life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you do.

  9. My pastor recommended this app at the beginning of this year. I had just finished several women’s study groups and was looking for some other way to worship at home and in addition to my daily readings.
    Oh my gosh, TTW has opened an amazing door to understanding The Word. I have learned so much, I love the little gritty details of history and pearls of wisdom.

      I’ve been using and sharing Through The Word for about a year now! I am so thankful for the way you present The Word and teach it in bite size chunks!! You have helped me understand scripture in a big way!
      I’ve studied through 1st Peter, Ephesians, Philippians, 1st John, Revelation, Luke and am currently in Job while also working my way through the 19 Journeys!

  11. I am so thankful I found TTW. I’m now in Journey 4-Law & Grace. I have always avoided most of Exodus & Leviticus because I couldn’t understand how it applied to me and it bored me to tears. However in this study with Kris & Jonathan I am learning the nature of God and just how amazingly Jesus fulfilled the Law and how we are the Tabernacle. It’s made me truly understand how incredible the Grace of God is! I can understand the Gospels better as well since a lot of the references reflect the Tabernacle and Jewish Culture. Thank you TTW for your dedication and for passing along your knowledge and passion for the Word.

  13. I started TTW January 1, 2019 and haven’t missed a day since. I’ve been through the entire Bible, several journeys, and repeated several books. This Bible habit has become the can’t miss part of my own day, and without any kind of prompting my kids have picked up on the habit. My 8 year old son recently told me he wants to listen to the whole Bible. He doesn’t listen to the audio guides yet, just the Word and he has already finished the entire New Testament, and Genesis through 1 Samuel. This app, and the discovery of the audio Bible in general, has created a love for the Word that is spilling over into the next generation. Thank you TTW team!

    • I have found you guys about 3, maybe 4 years ago. Right now I am doing the New Testament in a year. But want I want to share is, thank y’all so much for helping understand The Written Word!! I am now more times than not, understanding what I believe, God has been trying to show me. And answer many of my questions I have always had, but didn’t know how to ask them. I am really enjoying the moments of, I was wondering if I was reading that right!! Thank you for helping me, and others enjoy, and have better understanding of The Written Word of God!! Amen!!

  20. So very grateful for TTW! Our pastor has recommended it from the pulpit several times and it is a great tool for new believers. I love the Sunday rest day and have used it to catch up; divinely inspired. Most of all, I love your hearts of love and truth together; saying the tough stuff but your hearts for people, all people made in the image of God, is evident and reflective of your Father’s. Help us Jesus, not to become haters for you desire none to perish. He hasn’t let your love grow cold and it is evident.

  21. I want to thank you for this opportunity to read and study the Bible in this format . The best for me is your explanation of the verses and chapters. I started out in Revelations. I know that is considered the hardest book of the Bible to understand. You made it manageable to understand with your insight. I have passed on to many friends and family this app. When I can’t sleep at night I turn on the Bible and let it read to me. I find I can sleep much better ending the day listening to His Word. Thank you very much. Your hard work getting this together in this format is appreciated. Each of the young men helping you are doing a great job. Love listening to the little ones as well.

  23. I’m 63 years old & been attempting to study & grasp understanding of the Bible for most of my life. I feel like Kris Langham was blessed by God with the key. Kris & his friends have generously used that key in TTW. It feels like God has opened up His treasure room & is pouring it out over me.   24. I can’t thank you enough MEN! My son’s thank you, my daughters thank you , my Wife thanks you and my community thanks you and this wonderful work of GOD you started! You see I’m not a good man! But with TTW I am better today then I was yesterday! Faith is no microwavable( just heard that and stole for my own!, thanks Pastor Jake).   26. I am not going through the NT in your order because I am also reading the NT, Psalms, & Proverbs in a year through YouVersion with a friend in Afghanistan. I would use TTW more with him, but their internet is not great so he can’t stream audio guides everyday.

    I love the audio guides. They are so helpful in my studies! I have written lots of notes in both my journal and my Bible.

    I am so thankful for TTW and all the Pastors involved. You guys are doing a phenomenal job!

  28. Congratulations to all of the listeners on your half year mark.

    I know that the time has passed quickly for me. As a new believer (I am a Messianic Jew- born Jewish and believe that Jesus is the Messiah. Like the disciples) this is my first time through the New Testament. Pastor Kris, Jonathan, Peyton have done an AMAZING job of helping me actually understand The Bible and how it applies to my life. I can see myself going through this 100 times and always finding something new. I can actually feel myself becoming closer to God every day.

    I love to tell others about TTW. I would love to live in a world where everyone lives by the words of Jesus (isn’t that a nice thought 🥰).

In a few minutes I will complete 1 John Not only have I enjoyed listening to Chris and Payton’s brief summaries but I have enjoyed reflecting further on each day’s chapters and writing down my observations in the Blueletter Bible app’s notes section. (It’s fun to combine apps). I’ve been a bible teacher, pastor and publisher for over 50 years and going through the New Testament has been very refreshing. I have particularly enjoyed just recently understanding in a new way how John wrote by threading. You interpret John by understanding how his various threads come together in the points he wants to make. His style is really very different from Paul’s. Thanks for this journey. Have you ever thought of the Old Testament say in two years?

  33. I was concerned that I was behind on the plan and considered counting the days on my calendar but based on today’s update I think I’m a little ahead. I don’t do the “rest days”. I have used this app for years and have shared it many times and to this day I repeat the closing remarks out loud, no idea why I guess it’s just habit to say “Through the Word”. I do miss hearing from Jonathan’s teaching.

I’ll be like, “Whoa, I never thought of it like that”! Or, this guy is awesome and my fave. Nope, totally this dude. Then someone else comes along with the next book amd they are the most awesome!
